Ledge attached to existing garage will provide start of carport rafter roofline. Rafter and ceiling joists will meet at rim joist, which will sit atop three 8x8 posts grounded in new footings. Carport roof will be comprised of plywood sheathing and copper metal roof. Carport ceiling will be comprised of tongue-and-groove paneling. One side of carport will be wall of existing, detached garage. Other three walls will be open to air. Two ceiling lights, plus one motion light on exterior.
